Thank you to everyone involved in the making, creating, ideating, planning, executing, and ultimate success that was our third shoot of the semester today, “SOUTHERN GOTHIC.” On behalf of myself and the Exec. Board, we are so proud of all of you and beyond impressed with yesterday’s shoot! A major shoutout goes to the makeup artists, models, photographers/videographers, and stylists; Each of you played such an integral part in this shoot and we couldn’t be happier.

We cannot believe it is already Shoot #4! This is our last photoshoot of the semester before CFE.4 takes over and we focus on finalizing the publication. Read below for details and sign-ups for “THE AUTOMATON.”
Shoot #4 Dates + Deadlines:
Sign-Ups: OPEN TODAY, RIGHT NOW, IT’S LIVE!
Sign-Ups Close: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28th at 11:59 PM (that’s this weekend!)
Roles List Announced: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29th (late afternoon/early evening)
Styling Session: MONDAY, OCTOBER 30th (SCD Lower Lobby, 6:30-7:30 PM)
Photoshoot Date: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5th (SCD Lower Lobby for prep/makeup, TBD for shooting location, 11 AM - 4:30 PM)
*YOU MUST BE A UIUC STUDENT IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN SHOOTS. PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ORDER TO BE SELECTED, YOUR STATUS AS AN ACTIVE UIUC STUDENT WILL BE CHECKED + VERIFIED.*

6) CFE.4 REMINDERS 🧪

Welcome to the fourth iteration of the Circular Fashion Expo!
We are ecstatic to be officially launching CFE.4 today with you all! As the third iteration of the event (happy 4th semester this December to CFE!), expect a turn and twist from what has been done before. New features, new things, and new opportunities all sprinkled in with a consistent commitment to circularity, circular fashion, and circular economics will be coming to you on December 2, 2023.
For anyone receiving or viewing this email going “What is CFE?,” we have the lovely one-pager below that should give you a snapshot of all things CFE, what the Circular Fashion Expo is, and a central database to explore what we have done in the past and what we hope to do moving forward, check it out!
CFE.4 will be taking place DECEMBER 2, 2023 from 11 AM - 8 PM AT SIEBEL CENTER FOR DESIGN.
The day itself consists of a streamlined schedule of events, happenings, and programs. From a Swap Shop/Thrifting Event (details coming soon…), to live music, and a full production runway, CFE.4 will be a full day and evening.
An itinerary/schedule for the day with all these specific opportunities will be coming your way post-Thanksgiving Break (week of the 27th…CFE.4 TECH WEEK). Stay tuned for more!
DEADLINES:
The remainder of this email covers sign-up forms, opportunities to participate, and chances to have a hand in the production of CFE.4. With that in mind and due to the high intensity, fast-paced nature of the event itself and the planning that goes behind it, here are the deadlines (reiterated in each of the sections below) for all the soon-to-be-mentioned facets of CFE.4:
Member Volunteer Form → November 17th, 2023 at 11:59 PM (Accepted on a rolling basis: soonest opportunities to get involved are November 1st!).
Vendor Sign-Ups → November 17th, 2023 at 11:59 PM (Potential to close sooner than deadline because of capacity limits. Apply now!).
Art Installation → November 17th, 2023 at 11:59 PM (there will be art drop-off messages + times sent out the week of CFE.4. Opportunity to help install available!).
Photography/Videography → November 17th, 2023 at 11:59 PM.
MUA Sign-Ups → November 17th, 2023 at 11:59 PM.
Design Competition → November 17th, 2023 at 11:59 PM | LOOK SUBMISSIONS WILL CLOSE November 22nd, 2023 at 11:59 PM.
Design Competition Measurement Form → November 17th, 2023 at 11:59 PM.

7) PAY YOUR DUES 💵

🤍PAY YOUR DUES! : $25 dollars for TFN? Call it a deal, a bargain, whatever you call it, but remember to pay your dues! All events, photoshoots, and TFN-member events are for due-paying members only. If you have any questions or concerns about dues, please reach out to our Treasurer, Anu (kherlen2@illinois.edu). When sending the money over, please use “tfnuiuc@gmail.com” through Zelle or Venmo. Make sure to include your name! It makes it easier for everyone to confirm you have paid when attendance is taken at shoots, events, etc.
